Tips to Clean Your House in One Hour

by Kim Archer 05/26/2019

Everyone will agree that cleaning the house is a big task. No one has time every week to the heavy cleaning. From the living room to the bedrooms and the garage without forgetting the front yard. So much cleaning to do.However, this piece highlights that you don't have to spend the whole day cleaning the house. You can get the job done under an hour. Here's how;

  • Start from the bedrooms. While you want to clean your home, it is always a good practice to start from the bedroom. That is because that is most likely the most cluttered room in the house. In cleaning the bedroom, don't start anyhow. Your first task in the bedroom is to do a clean sweep. Get any clothes and other things placed wrongly in order and sweep the floor. After you finish sweeping, the next thing you should do is lay or make the bed. If the bedspread needs changing, do that and make it neatly. Next, deal with dust. Brush down dust from the curtains and windows, then use the vacuum. It shouldn't really surprise you to find out that you can do all that in 10 minutes.
  • Head to the bathroom. Having dealt with the bedrooms, the next stop in the house cleaning is the bathroom. And, yes you can clean the bathroom under 9 minutes. The first thing to do is to spray everywhere- from the walls to the sink. Now, tackle the toilet and wash thoroughly. Having done that, cleaning the sink is next. You have to wash the sink with appropriate soap and water. Now clean the mirror and wipe down the shower and tub. After completion, the last task in the bathroom is moping the floor. Do that thoroughly, and the bathroom is all set.
  • Next is cleaning the kitchen in 12 minutes. Of course, the first thing is getting the dishes out of the way. Wash all dirty dishes. Next, rearrange all out of place items. For instance, get the frying pan off the sink and the salt container into the cabinet. Having done all that in quick succession, remove all stickiness and clean the counters and appliances; then tackle the floor.
  • The last place to clean is the living room. Like you have done in the bedroom, put all misplaced items in their correct location. Dust the tables, windowsills, and electronics. Next, clean the glass surfaces and then use the vacuum.

 It is important to note that cleaning the house under an hour will only happen after much practice. So, don't give up too quickly. If it takes you two hours the first time you followed this guide, keep at it. You will be surprised at the results you will get in no time.

Thank you for visiting our website. I hope this online tool is informative, user friendly and becomes your online Real Estate resource.

Being a second generation Real Estate agent I have seen this industry evolve since the mid 70's. Repeating history as we blink.   Starting my training at such an early age along the side of my Mom and mentor Dee Petullo has taught me to be the Agent I am today along with the extensive training at First Team Real Estate's Success Academy.

Beginning my career in June of 2002, was the just beginning of my journey. At the end of the 3 month training I was awarded Top Listing Agent, Top Selling Agent and Top Producer from my graduating class and my office.  I was also awarded Rookie of the Year after being in the business for 6 months.  Dedication, hard work and a great team of lenders, escrow officers, title companies and home warranty companies has helped me become the best I can be. I have also had the honor to be part of First Team Real Estates Hall of Fame Top Producers since the very beginning.  I have also be nominated by my colleagues in Orange County as Broker Agent and had a magazine published with this honor.

As of 2010, I made the switch to Evergreen Realty and have continued to help sellers get top dollar and buyers achieve their dream of becoming homeowner.  Working at Evergreen I have achieved Top 10 agent on a consistent basis.
